Trust me on this. Massage is like your favourite coffee.
Have you ever ordered your preferred brew and on that first sip all you can think of is that it must have been made by elves riding unicorns because something magical has happened.
Of course not everyone is a coffee aficionado. For some, drinking coffee is something you do in the morning for the survival of the people around you. Thank you for drinking coffee. The world is a better place because today we live.
Others, you like coffee, you don’t know why … you just do.
And others still are content with putting a pod in a machine, pushing the button and 30 seconds later brown nourishing fluid descends into your cup.
I met a barista once whose signature coffee included popcorn infused milk. For some it was heaven in a cup, and others …. it’s just wasn’t their cup of tea.
Are you someone who orders the long black to appreciate the crema and aroma – you can hide bad extraction with milk, but a long black is coffee in the raw. You order the coffee to be not just be an Indonesian origin but specifically Sumatran Mandheling. It has to be extracted at the right temperature for the right time. You know exactly what you like and who you will go to your preferred barista to make you the best cup every time. Coffee is your first love.
Full cream, skim, soy, not too hot, extra hot, a shot of caramel. Provided you like the taste of coffee there is probably a uniquely you cup to describe you.
It’s no different with my massage.
Some people seek massage because it helps them to get through the week. Others want to achieve a specific health goal and others still have chosen me as their therapist. There is something that I do, that they are looking for … yes …. i choose you! That’s a pretty special thing.
There’s some things in massage that I do every single time. It’s like the coffee component. Without it you just have a cup of hot water.
Then there’s the special requests. Don’t want oil … no problem. Want the room warmer or your favourite music? Absolutely. More time on the neck or hips. My pleasure. More pressure … absolutely.
I have my artisan blends too. Want to chill out sleep better and feel wonderful? I’ve got my signature treatment for that. Lower back pain or neck pain or headaches? I’ve got a special something for those things too. Don’t need those things? No worries.
At the end of the day, those seeking an artisan will either love what I do or put me in the average bin. Because that’s how we judge art.
At Myomasters we do seriously good massage without the fluff.
